L1 for Rights and Responsibilties, aimed at AQA Citizenship GCSE- Y9. This lesson introduces the concepts of justice and fairness. Students look at what age they can do things by. This leads onto looking at the age of criminal responsibility. I have included a link to the BBC Iplayer drama “Responsible Child.” There is a worksheet for this. This drama is not essential to the lesson, but it does provide a more modern approach to debating the age of criminal responsibility and is a nice alternative to looking at James Bulger.
